Here's the topper that I created for us.  It is a bit more simplistic than what I would usually chose, but I let the fi' chose the font.  If you look closely you will see five purple stones, one for each person in our family.

And we have a venue!!

I have shown you-all some of the pictures of No. 2 Vance, but not the ones from my digi camera that turned out amazingly!!!  Don't forget to get the napkin because the view is drool worthy!!

Things I have been working on!! Heavy picture post!!!

I have been neglecting my poor blog. Shame on me!!! Here are some things that you have missed ;). I have had my first fitting....

Chose a great pair of shoes that even I love (although they are shorter than I would normally wear)...

I also got a new e-ring.  For those of you that have known me pre-engagement days you will know this is the one I salivated over FOREVER!! And my sweetie got it for me when we moved the wedding date up.

Here it is with my mom's faux wax seals that she made for my invites... She will be opening up an etsy store shortly after the wedding called Clay Seals

I thought this was a kick ass picture if I must say so myself...

Invite Design Completed!!

My invite design is done!! Thank you so much etsy seller GOTARINGONIT !!!!
I sent her an inspiration picture and the damask and told her I was going for damask and vintage yet modern and funky (yeah exactly lol!!!)

What she delivered to me was better than I expected and perfection!!! I am sooo happy with them!!!!
The invites will be black and white with a purple or clear rhinestone on a few of the drops for the chandelier as well as the damask pattern on the right. The invite will have a purple belly band (dunno if it's ribbon or paper yet) and be affixed with my wax seals which are pictured before they are silver and after they are silver.  The invites will also have a purple feather through them...

I will hand emboss the envelopes to look like this:

Also, the faux seals will go on my favors (as pictured) before and after...

The below are my awesome favors!!!!  The one on the left is a Christmas ornament, on the right a ball point pen.  Total cost $0.80 each!!!!

Here they are with the feather.  The belly band is velvet and the feather purple.  The faux wax seals are made by mom who is opening an etsy store soon.

Vintage glam and chic

I purchased my birdcage from a client after her wedding. It was $25.00. However, the flower that was on it, wasn't necessarily my style. I added the feather fascinator that I made way back when and now I love it!!! I can't wait to wear it next month!! The first picture shows the "before" of the birdcage. My hair will be in a loose side bun with messy curls.. Total cost with the fascinator I made $36.00.

Blowing the dust off...

Coughing!! It's been way too long since I have been here!!! A ton of things have gone on in my life this year and our wedding will probably have to be postponed a few months due to the economy and we are actually moving the venue to my hometown of Memphis, TN due to my dad coming out of remission.  I am still going with the brunch themed wedding because I think it's just so darned chic.  We are probably looking at a date in early March on the 5th or perhaps 12th.

Next weekend I will be on the great venue search. I think I have narrowed it down to one, so here it is in all of it's glory, very cute, very reasonably priced and well near trolley tracks (pix will be amazing!!) and the river!!!  Here is the website: No. 2 Vance.  Best part about them is if we book before the 10th of October we will receive a 10 % discount because they are a new venue.  Here are a few pictures:

And the trolley line is outside which would make a wonderful entrance and exit for us if we time it properly!!!!

Due to me having to change my date, I will no longer be able to use the wonderfully talented Fola Adewole (LOVE HER!!)  But I am signed on with a wonderful photographer with whom I have worked with quite a few times: Krystal Alayne.  Here are a few of her pictures from my very own events no doubt :o):
