Cleaning, the final frontier!

So I think that I'm a pretty decent girlfriend. I cook, I've never said no to the shoulder tap (wink wink), I am supportive; however, cleaning is something that eludes me... I don't have the desire to clean although I love walking into a clean house!! What do you all do to get a routine into keeping your house clean? I feel like one of those people from Clean House.... I need Niecy Nash to come whip me into shape!! Sigh... I will channel my inner Martha Stewart, unpack these boxes from my move and make my house a home... Who's with me? Someone has to hold me accountable because I'd much rather have a friggin' V-8!!

ME! I will totally, totally hold you accountable! I have GOT to clean my apartment before A goes absolutely INSANE with the mess I've made. Plus I won't let myself make my Christmas cards til I get it cleaned up and I have GOT to start those! You want to give yourself til 11:59 Saturday night to get it done? I think I'm making that my goal to get my apartment cleaned up, then the end of NEXT week to get my apt decorated for Christmas and Christmas cards made (I'm only working 24 hours next week cause I had to use up vacation time).

I started by doing ONE huge cleanup and once it was all clean, it motivates me every day to put everything back into its "home" (its worth an Ikea trip to find a home and a place for everything). Then each Wednesday I am supposed to clean in the morning. Just one morning a week. Of course I get off track but if I crank up the music, dusting ain't so bad. PLus I reward myself with a trip to the mall :-)
